Mediation
Under Ireland's Mediation Act 2017, mediation is a voluntary process in which an independent mediator assists the parties in reaching their own agreement. The mediator does not determine the dispute; any settlement becomes binding when the parties agree its terms.

Assistance in identifying whether mediation is an appropriate solution for your dispute. Preparing a mediation strategy and advising on the strengths and weaknesses of your case to provide you with a better picture of the potential outcomes.
Identifying a mediator
Based on an assessment of your dispute, we propose candidates who possess the expertise to serve as an impartial mediator. We also prepare the mediation agreement and necessary appointing documents for the mediator.
Representation in the mediation process
Once the mediation is initiated, we assist you in preparing your position papers and responding to those of your counterparty. We also accompany you to the negotiations in pursuit of a possible settlement.
Recording the settlement
We advise you on the outcome of the negotiations and assist you in ensuring the settlement reflects the agreement reached.
